Tip of the Hat to Cary Lowe

SDWEG member Cary Lowe’s memoir entitled Becoming American has been published by Black Rose. It chronicles his growing up in post-war Europe with parents who were Holocaust survivors, immigrating to the US, serving in the military, working on campaigns and causes, and overall becoming a politically engaged American. During that time, he worked with or on behalf of such prominent political figures as Robert Kennedy, George McGovern, Jerry Brown, and Tom Hayden. The book is particularly timely in light of the ongoing controversies over immigration and the meaning of being a real American. More information is available on his website at https://carylowewriter.com/ .

Congratulations, Cary.
