  Preditors and Editors has a Facebook page where they comment on those providing services to independent authors, identifying those that are questionable because of their pay-to-play schemes. Be sure to check out any resources you find here, or with other reputable sources of information, before you agree to pay for a review.
  
  Kirkus will provide a review for pay, and it’s well known. But they won’t guarantee you’ll be happy with their review. I guess that’s better than paying to get a glowing review that may mislead potential readers.
  
  We have a link to another site about how to get book reviews on our SDWEG Members Only page, under the Resources Heading. You must be logged in to the website to reach the SDWEG Members Only page, but you had to be logged in to reach this page, too, so that shouldn’t be a problem.

During this 8-session class, you will complete an 18-month personal marketing calendar that you can implement immediately regardless of where you are in your publishing/writing process. Marketing options and techniques will be introduced and explored. Classes include one 20-minute break, informal lecture, hands-on-tasks, Q & A sessions, guest experts, and videos.
Task-oriented training, each participant will create a personal marketing calendar based on their individual needs and goals.
Participants are expected to bring a laptop and participate in weekly class workshops and discussions.
This class is presented by SDWEG members JR Strayve and Tamara Merrill.
